WWII German M1911 K98 Rifle Ammunition Pouch - Early Pattern Gallery

These are 1934 dated early pattern pouches from my personal collection. This type of pattern has two belt straps that wrap under each pocket and slips over a post. Hardware is all aluminum.

Brown pebbled leather dyed black.  All clip dividers are present.  Inside each of the three pocket lids is a clear impression stamp of "DRP Kösl" indicating service in the Deutsche Reichspost (Reich Mail Service).  "Kösl" could be short for the Polish town of Köslin but I'm unable to make that connection.  Aluminum hardware is/was painted black indicating it was a Russian capture pouch.
